THE WRITERS' SHOW ON KOOTENAY CO-OP RADIO

§

One of the things I like about the Internet is being able to listen to radio when it's convenient for me (ie. quiet, with interruptions unlikely, or at the very least, infrequent). Lately, I've listened to some of poet Penn Kemp's Gathering Voices shows out of London, Ontario.

At the end of November I had a conversation with George Bowering

for The Writers' Show on Kootenay Co-op Radio in Nelson. Hosted by fiction writer Holley Rubinsky, the show is going into its 5th season.

The Bowering show will air Monday, January 7 at 6PM, but you can listen to it anytime here.

The Writers' Show has all 34 of Holley's interviews archieved, with more to come. There's a nice balance between Kootenay writers like Rita Moir, Anne DeGrace, Tom Wayman, Eileen Delehanty Pearkes, Angie Abdou, Vivien Bowers and Almeda Glenn Miller, and ones from away, including Adam Lewis Schroeder, Rhea Tregebov, John Gould, Patrick Lane, Caroline Adderson, Andrea MacPherson, Terence Young and Kathy Page.

So next time you're going to be puttering for an hour, tune in!
